January 2012
Hi men,
Well another XC season coming to a close, just Witham left in
the 53-12 league on the 12th feb.
Hope to see you all there!! Also the national XC champs for
those that are entered on the 25th feb.
You should all know by now what your Marshall duties are for
this Sunday at our half. If not, let us know & we will tell you.
For those that are running the half, the very best of luck too
you all & I hope the weather is kind.
If you don't already know, we always have a nice selection of
cakes & rolls in the village hall after the 1/2 for sale.
This is because all you guys & the woman are asked to bring
along something. If you could bring either some cake or make up
some rolls, it's always appreciated!
January's runner of the month is RUSS SHARP, Russ has
been out with a few injuries until recently. He has made his
comeback at the Cross Countrys & has improved with each & every
race. Although not back to full fitness yet, I'm sure it won't
be too long before he is firing on all cylinder's once again.
Nice to have you back Russ!
That's all for now, see you Sunday.
Simon
December 2011
Firstly I'd like to wish you all a very
happy new year!
I hope you all enjoyed your running in 2011 as much as I have,
it's been great seeing you all achieving your goals!
The turnouts at XC have been fantastic this season & I hope will
continue for the last 3 meets.
We have some extra XC fixtures this year too, the County champs,
the national champs & the Essex XC relays. Thanks to the men
that have shown an interest in this & are ready to up a level!!!
I am very much looking forward to this years running, especially
to see you all with the bit between your teeth in the Friday 5's
& our own 5k series!
Now to runner of the month, I have chosen GRAHAM SEMPLE as
runner of the month for December. I feel he has really embraced
the cross country this season & is even geared up for the Essex
champs. I think 2012 will see him improve his times in most of
his races! Well done Graham!
I would just like to add that I know it's marathon training for
a lot of us, now but please don't forget to try to get down the
club for some of the club runs.
I know you'll be doing a lot of miles on your own, but some
structured training will still be useful!
Wishing you lots of happy racing in 2012,
Keep up the good work.
