Although Great Bentley Running Club is quite informal we do have a committee to ensure that the club meets all the members needs.

This is the Committee Members as voted at our Annual General Meeting in April 2008

  
Chairperson:
Clive Jones
Clive keeps the club in order and ensures that all achievements are announced at the club night. He also announces forthcoming events and keeps the internal club handicap & championship leagues in order.
 
Vice Chairperson:
 Lyn Foster
Lyn acts as support to Clive and as a sounding board for ideas. He will also take over the chair if Lyn is absent.
Lyn is also Treasurer
   
Secretary: Tom Geddes
Tom records the notes from the various committee and annual general meetings. He also acts as Membership Secretary and keeps the membership details, issuing the membership cards annually. Tom ensures that membership details are kept up to date.
   
Events Secretary: Dave Nugent
Dave supports the club by keeping the stock of forthcoming races application forms.
   
Treasurer: Lyn Foster
Lyn keeps an eye on the club funds and ensures that a healthy financial balance is maintained throughout the year. Lyn also advises on the financial state of the club to the Committee at their meetings.
   
Race Director: Clive Jones
Race Director on race days ensuring that the events run smoothly and ensuring that the health & safety of the runner's is not compromised.
   
Assistant Race Directors:

Paul Foster
Assists the Race Director on race days
   
Ladies Team Captain: Nicky Browne
Nicky provides the committee with the views of the ladies in the club and ensures that the ladies team's achievements are celebrated.
 
Ladies Vice Captain: Sally Cable
Sally will step in for Nicky if and when need arises.
Mens Team Captain: Clive Jones
  Clive provides the committee with the views of the men in the club and that the men's team's achievements are recorded.
   
Mens Vice Captain Gary 'Gazza' Eldred
Will step in for Clive if and when need arises.
   
Kit Secretary: Barbara Law
  Barbara holds the stock of club kit and keep the record of individual members' race standards achievements.
   
Press Secretary: Kevin Cox
  Geoff reports the achievements of the club in local and national races to the local press for coverage, but relies on the members to give him the detail as soon as possible after the race. Geoff also acts as club coach.
   
Child Protection Officer Stephen Cartwright
  Ensures the needs of any junior club members are catered for.
 
Club Coach: Geoff Tomlinson
Geoff acts as 'coach' and has his own training advice page.
   
Webmaster: Paul Foster
Maintains the website and tries to ensure is meets the users needs.
